The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) paid posthumous tribute to 24 soldiers who died in U.S. attacks against the country last Saturday, January 3, when U.S. forces kidnapped the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, First Lady Cilia Flores.

At least 24 soldiers died in attacks launched by U.S. forces in different parts of Caracas and three states close to the capital, reported the Venezuelan Army, one of the components of the FANB, in addition to Military Aviation, the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB ), the Navy and the Militia.

“They're not just names on a plaque, they're the eternal echo of resistance and honor. Their blood is a seed of sovereignty!” , highlighted the publication of G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, commander of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEO-FANB).

He also said that “a lady of the air is being murdered defending her sacred homeland by the work and grace of the most genocidal empire on the planet, achieving glory in the most heroic way that men and women in arms must leave, offering their lives for the country”.

“Long live our women fighters and our martyred heroes, who died for the freedom and independence of our country!” , he asserted.

Hernández Lárez emphasized “Our lands, mountains and plains are watered with liberating blood, the blood of courageous men and women who offered their lives for the freedom of their people and in this era the United Liberated Army is alive spear in hand, in struggle, battle and victory.”

“Our mountains and plains are full of the patriotic blood of men and women who abandoned their earthly lives for the integrity of their homeland against the eternal imperial enemy that has always wanted to seize our resources, leaving us monuments of honor that tell us that it is easier to kill than to defeat the Venezuelan soldier of the United Liberating Army,” he said.

In tribute to the fallen, he emphasized: “They will live forever in our hearts and in our souls, like the defenders of this free and eternal homeland, bequeathed to us by our liberators!”
