Farmers, fishermen, aquaculturists and community members from all over the country will camp starting this Wednesday, January 8, at the Caracas Polyhedron, as a prelude to their accompaniment to the swearing in of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, before the National Assembly (AN) for his new constitutional term 2025-2031.
As reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), this is the Great Camp in support of President Nicolás Maduro, with more than 8,000 farmers and fishermen, in an activity coordinated by the Ministry for Fisheries and Aquaculture
At a press conference at the end of 2024, the vice-president of Mobilization and Events of the ruling United Socialist Party (PSUV), Nahum Fernández, assured that the peasants and fishermen will prepare for the big day, with reference to next January 10, the date established in the Constitution for the inauguration and the beginning of a new six-year presidential term.
The camp is part of an agenda of activities in which marches stand out in Caracas and five regions of the country -four of them bordering Colombia- on January 10, when revolutionary forces plan to be present in avenues of Caracas in support of President Maduro, Fernández explained.
