The vice-president of mobilization of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nahum Fernández, condemned the escalation of violence against the Islamic Republic of Iran and supported President Nicolás Maduro's call to stop the advance of a third global war.

“Until when is death imposed as a policy? Venezuela makes it clear: the world doesn't want wars, the world wants to live,” he said, during the Great March for Peace that took place in Caracas.

Fernández rejected the recent attacks carried out by Israel and the United States against Iran, calling them a direct threat to international stability. “We cannot normalize destruction or indifference to the pain of others. It's time for the peoples of the world to hear the cry for peace that comes from our land,” he said.

He stressed that President Maduro's proposal seeks nuclear disarmament and the construction of a new order based on solidarity and respect between nations. “No more investment in weapons: invest in families, in health, in love. That is the true human revolution,” he concluded.
