Ferrer Sandrea: More than 80% of drug seizures in 2024 were on the border with Colombia

The national anti-drug superintendent, M/G Danny Ferrer Sandrea, reported that more than 80% of the drug seizures that took place in 2024 were on the border with Colombia.

In this regard, he explained that from 2008 to last year, more than 8,500 procedures against drug trafficking have been carried out.

“583 laboratories have been destroyed on the border line, one of the longest borders that we have with Colombia,” he said during the program Café en la Mañana broadcast by Venezolana se Televisión.

Ferrer Sandrea stressed that the National Anti-Drug Plan is a macro strategy that carries a high connotation linked to the 7 transformations led by President Nicolás Maduro.
