FILVEN will arrive at the Dr. Leonardo Ruíz Pineda Public Library in Táchira

The 20th International Book Fair in Venezuela (FILVEN) will arrive in
Táchira to offer the reading public of this state a great
literary encounter with nearly 50 activities under the motto “Reading transforms”, from February 27
to March 1, at the Dr. Leonardo Ruíz
Pineda Public Library, located in the San Juan Bautista parish of the San Cristóbal municipality.
According to information from the Ministry
for Culture, this time they will pay tribute to
regional writers Reina Mercedes Durán Lara and Máximo Ladrador. In addition, Neguel Machado and Juan Echeverria will attend as national
guests.
In addition, there will be book presentations,
including news published by the Ministry of Popular Power for
Culture through The Dog and the Frog, Monte Ávila and the Ayacucho Library,
talks, conferences, workshops. Girls, boys and teenagers will have
the traditional children's and youth ward.
The 20th FILVEN Táchira pays tribute to South Africa, to the national writer Benito Yrady, to the Ayacucho Library for its 50 years, to the magazine Tricolor for its 75 years and to the novel Ifigenia, by Teresa de la Parra, for the centenary of its publication.
