The first cohort of the National Training Plan for Cultural Promoters received its first accreditations at an event held at the Rómulo Gallegos Central Public Library in San Juan de los Morros, Guárico state, as part of the agreement between the Great Mission Viva Venezuela, My Beloved Homeland and the National Institute for Socialist Training and Education (INCES).

The 35 accredited participants successfully completed three curricular units — Foundations for Culture, Decolonizing Action and Occupational Health and Safety — and are consolidated as active agents in building a society more aware of the transformative power of culture, an advance that is crucial to strengthening the cultural fabric of the region.

The training process comprised nine curricular units in total, of which seven have already been completed. The accreditations awarded correspond to the first three, and the completion of the training is expected for the delivery of the remaining credentials, which will fully accredit them as cultural promoters.

The award of certificates was adorned with an emotional and vibrant manifestation of cultural heritage: the traditional Bailorio de Cruz de Mayo. Along with the Brotherhood of Cruz de Mayo de Los Bagres, the attendees enjoyed traditional prayers, songs and games.

Subsequently, the newly certified cultural promoters had the opportunity to actively participate in the demonstration with their own songs and dances. The day culminated with the tasting of Creole food and sweets, to reinforce the sense of community and belonging.
