Flag bearers from Caracas for XXI National Orient Games 2024

This Friday, the flag ceremony was held for the Caracas athletes who will participate in the XXI National and Para-National Games East 2024, from the top of the Venezuelan capital, in the imposing Warairarepano, with 580 girls and boys excited and willing to do their best to achieve the seventh national championship for Caracas.

The ceremony was led by Mayor Carmen Meléndez and the head of Government of Caracas (GDC), Nahum Fernández, together with the flag athletes representing the athletes from Caracas.


Fernández urged the athletes to be proud to be from Caracas and Caracas, and to wear the banner and colors of the city on their flag and their own clothing. He said that President Nicolás Maduro has promoted sports at all levels, “and it fills us with pride that the athletes Nicole Gutiérrez and Erick Martínez receive this flag today, representing the 580 athletes who will travel to the east of the country to celebrate the name of Caracas.”


The group of representatives from Caracas is made up of 580 athletes, who will participate in 46 disciplines from November 8 to 24, in Anzoátegui and Monagas, in the east of the country. The athletes will be accompanied by 150 people, including coaches, teachers, as well as about 100 logistical support assistants.
