Foreign Minister Gil highlights the importance of biodiversity in Colombia and Venezuela

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, in the framework of his participation in the United Nations Conference on Biodiversity (COP16), assured that the Venezuelan delegation is participating with great interest in this summit because it is a nation with one of the largest reservoirs of fresh water and fauna in the South American region.

He added that at this event, Venezuela will present the country's advances, challenges and goals in the preservation of biodiversity, with a special focus on the Amazon basin.
