Foreign Minister Gil receives former Colombian Foreign Minister Álvaro Leyva in his office: “A friend from Venezuela”

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, received this Thursday in his office in Caracas the former foreign minister of the Republic of Colombia, Álvaro Leyva Durán, with whom he spoke about regional geopolitics and the situations of both countries, in the midst of attacks by the world right against peoples.

Through his Telegram channel, Foreign Minister Gil described Leyva Durán as “a friend of Venezuela”. The meeting was held prior to the installation of the Political and Academic Forum on the situation in Colombia, organized by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry regarding the complaint of a coup against the president of New Granada Gustavo Petro .

The former Colombian foreign minister was recently received at the Miraflores Palace by President Nicolás Maduro, to analyze the challenges of the region. “The union, brotherhood, cooperation and peace of peoples is and will always be the path,” said the Venezuelan head of state at the time.
