Through his Telegram channel, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, thanked the ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago in Venezuela, Edmund Dillon, for his years at the head of Trinidadian diplomacy in the national territory.
“We express our sincerest thanks and farewell to the ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago in Venezuela, Edmund Dillon, to whom we have awarded the Francisco de Miranda Order in his first class,” he said, referring to the fact that the diplomatic official is ending his work mission in the country.
The head of the Foreign Relations portfolio valued Dillon's management, which, in his opinion, was key in strengthening bilateral ties between Caracas and Port of Spain.
“We deeply value his outstanding diplomatic management, his constant willingness for dialogue and cooperation, which have strengthened ties between the two countries,” he said and wished him success in his future projects. At the same time, he reaffirmed Venezuela's commitment to “maintaining fraternal and constructive relations.”
