The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, at a meeting this Tuesday with social movements in Geneva, assured that the Venezuelan struggle belongs to all peoples of the world.
During the event, held within the framework of the 58th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the Foreign Minister explained that “the Venezuelan struggle is not exclusive, but it is a struggle of involvement.”
“It is a real honor to meet with representatives of social movements that advocate for justice and the sovereignty of peoples. On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela expresses its sincerest gratitude for his constant accompaniment and support in this noble struggle for the truth and the right to exist of the Bolivarian Revolution,” he wrote about the meeting on his Telegram channel.
Along with the permanent representative of Venezuela to UN-Geneva, Ambassador Alexander Yánez, the Minister added that revolutions are an act of solidarity with “classes that have normally been exploited by capital, by imperialism, by a system that brought us here and that we are increasingly convinced that it is a failed system.”
In this sense, he said that capitalism “is a system that leaves behind is misery, pain, wars, which are increasingly frequent. It's about the imposition of the law of the strongest regardless of human lives.”
In addition, the Venezuelan diplomat specified that on the side of socialism “we are those who fight, those who believe, those who are moving towards humanity. For this reason, in Venezuela, the Bolivarian Revolution is not supported by a simple act of solidarity militias, but rather it is our fight”, of everyone.
