Foreign Minister Yván Gil to Israeli minister Gideon Saar: You are a war criminal and a genocidal person

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, responded emphatically to the Israeli Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar, “you are a war criminal and a genocidal person”.

The statement was made by Gil, when he criticized Saar's false accusation that he accused Venezuela this Monday, November 14, of being the link in South America of the Islamist groups Hezbollah and Hamas and of the Houthi Shiite rebels in Yemen.

On his account on the social network Telegram, Gil said: “What he should be doing is not mentioning Venezuela, but preparing to be tried for the crimes that his government commits against the Palestinian people.”

“The name Venezuela looks great on his dirty mouth and hands stained with innocent blood,” he said.

The foreign minister assured that “we are an independent people, a people that fights for their sovereignty, that liberates, that defends equality, human rights and international law.”

“You, on the other hand, represent barbarism and the systematic violation of all the norms that govern civilized humanity,” he said.

Gil asserted that “we are not interested in your opinion nor are we affected by your desperate rhetoric.”

In this regard, he stressed that “the only thing that matters is that, sooner rather than later, you will be held accountable to international justice.”
