As part of the beginning of election day, this Sunday, May 25, the governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, from one of the 710 voting centers authorized for the participation of the sovereign, invited the population to continue with the characteristic peace to participate in the democratic process.

“Today the beautiful day dawned, clear bodes well, since very early on the town is active, 710 active centers, 1,995 tables are open; 130 candidates to elect deputies, 90 to elect 13 legislators,” he said from the La Bustamante Educational Center in downtown San Cristóbal.

In this regard, he called on the People to express themselves through the vote to feed democracy “Táchira is in total normality. I make a loving call to you to come and vote in peace,” he said.

“We reaffirm today that the Essequibo is ours and although there are undue pressures at the international level, the United States (USA) is looking for war; President Nicolás Maduro has sought to develop a policy of peace, diplomacy of peace and the election of the Essequibo is about that,” he stressed.

The governor reported that during Saturday night there was an attack on a police command that left several injured, in Colombia, very close to Venezuela. “It's important to highlight that you cross the border and you have an environment of peace and that's nice, we've been fighting it for years and the People of Táchira value it.”

At the center was the militant Grecia Colmenares, who invited us to defend sovereignty through the vote “fills us with a lot of pride because we know that once again we are going to exercise our right; voting is fast and safe”.
