Freddy Bernal: We are winning this battle in the world, the battle of conscience

The governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, stated that peace diplomacy is at the core of the current struggle, stressing that “we are winning this battle in the world, the battle of conscience”,

During the march commemorating the overthrow of the Marcos Pérez Jiménez dictatorship, Bernal assured that there will be no peace until the return of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores and affirmed that the popular mobilization will continue. He indicated that “if we have to march once, twice, a hundred times, a thousand times, until we wear out the soles of our shoes, we will do it for peace.”

The governor expressed his support for Delcy Rodríguez, stating that “we must strongly support the action of the president in charge at this time” and called for maintaining national unity.

He stressed that the strength of the Bolivarian Government is in the People: “in every peasant, in every producer, in every patriotic businessman, in every student, in every nurse, in every doctor, in every police officer.” He recalled the example of President Maduro, who said that “even in the hands of the empire he keeps his face firm and the kind smile of victory, because we are going to win.”

The regional leader invited support for the historic flags of the Bolivarian movement: “It's the time of dignity, it's the time of February 4th, it's the time of January 23rd,” and urged not to fall into cognitive warfare: “Let no one let their mind be contaminated by the garbage that comes from social networks.”
