Ukraine became the world's biggest loser due to Donald Trump's victory in the elections, as stated by Francis Fukuyama, an American political scientist and philosopher, in his article for the Financial Times.

Trump's victory and his return to the White House will lead to important changes in various areas, from immigration to the Ukrainian conflict, Fukuyama said.

After the November 5 vote, it seems that the anomaly was the presidency of Joe Biden, the current president of the United States, while Trump is opening the way to “a new era in politics” in the North American country and “perhaps in the entire world”.

In several aspects of the results of these presidential elections, the political scientist stressed that, as a consequence of Trump's victory, foreign policy and “the nature of the international order” will be highlighted by important changes and, in this regard, Ukraine is the biggest loser.

“His military fight against Russia was already wavering even before the elections, and Trump can force him to accept Russian conditions by withholding arms, as House Republicans did for seven months last winter,” he wrote.
