In order to care for babies, children and adolescents with movement disorders, developmental delay or risk of suffering from them, the Children's Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Unit of the El Niño Simón Monagas Regional Foundation was inaugurated.

This novel space, as reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), is integrated with the Simon Child Care Center to treat infants with orthopedic motor dysfunction, congenital deformations or newborns with high obstetric risk that require early psychomotor stimulation.

During the activation of these spaces, the first lady of the state and president of the El Niño Simón Monagas Foundation, Sorenelly Zambrano de Luna, said that “thanks to the unconditional support we receive from Governor Ernesto Luna, which is in line with the social policies implemented by President Nicolás Maduro, we will be able, through occupational therapy, to help children with physical, sensory or cognitive disabilities, so that gradually independently perform simple, everyday tasks, such as: eating, putting on socks and shoes, focusing on learning, writing, or playing with toys or with other children.”
