This Wednesday, the Gaza Health Ministry reported that at least 51 people had died in the enclave over the past 24 hours, as the Israeli army intensifies attacks along with its current air and ground offensive in Lebanon.

Al-Jazeera detailed that Israeli warplanes attacked Gaza City during the night, reaching the Muscat school, in the Tuffah neighborhood, and the Al-Amal orphanage, in the west of the capital.

At least nine displaced people taking refuge in those places died, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The Israeli army announced an attack on the Brig High School in central Gaza. The exact location of the target was not immediately clear and, at the time of publication, it was not known if there were any deaths.

In separate statements, the army said that the two schools and the orphanage were being used as “command and control complexes” by Hamas to plan and carry out operations.
