The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, held a meeting with António Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) to discuss the aggressions and violations of international law by the Government of the United States (USA), against Venezuela.
“We presented details of the most recent aggressions and violations of international law committed against the people of Venezuela and their institutions, encouraged by the United States of America, which have been defeated by the Venezuelan people in a demonstration of their strong will to advance in peace and achieve the prosperity they deserve,” Gil said through the social network Instagram.
He also indicated that Venezuela ratified “the request to the UN and its organs for greater commitment to the mandate and principles embodied in the Charter of the United Nations and support for the Venezuelan public power in the fight to defend peace and the well-being of all Venezuelans.”
It should be noted that Gil fulfils an agenda as head of the Venezuelan delegation, at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly held in New York, United States.
