The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, highlighted this Friday that Venezuela defends a line of action in defense of humanity and international law in the face of threats posed in the Caribbean by North American imperialism.
During the videoconference on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the Declaration of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, promoted by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), Gil warned that the aggressions are not only directed against Venezuela, but against the foundations of the United Nations Charter and global stability, Fuser reported.
“If we keep silent, we will be on the verge of a new holocaust and a world war,” he warned.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted the support of more than 75 countries that participated in the meeting, which expressed their support for the Venezuelan people, for the Bolivarian Revolution and for President Nicolás Maduro.
Gil emphasized that sovereign nations today face the imposition of a new international order, based on principles such as the equality of States, the prohibition of the threat and the use of force, pillars that, according to him, should guide peaceful coexistence between peoples.
