The Great Venezuela Housing Mission (GMVV), together with the Andes 2025 Task Force, began the execution of a new housing development in Mucurubá, Rangel municipality, Mérida, intended to house 40 families that lost their homes during the rains that occurred in June.
During a tour of the site, the Secretary of Government of the State of Mérida, Yurami Quintero, reported on the emptying of the first two slabs for four two-family houses, as part of a complex that contemplates the construction of 40 units distributed in 20 similar structures.
Quintero indicated that the works respond to the instructions of the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, and Governor Arnaldo Sánchez, aimed at dealing expeditiously with those affected by the rainfall recorded on the 24th and 25th of last month.
The spokeswoman said that to date, 13 housing solutions have been delivered and that this new urban planning is in addition to the comprehensive recovery plan for the victims. He added that nearly 106 families in the region remain in temporary shelters or under the protection of acquaintances, while the relocation works are being completed.
