During a joint operation, officials from the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) seized more than 3.4 tons of suspected marijuana in two operations carried out in the states of Apure and Falcón.
In the state of Apure, specifically in the Las Busacas sector of the Puerto Páez municipality, they located eight bags, which contained 600 panel-like wrappers of presumed marijuana, totaling a gross weight of 300 kilograms.
At the same time, in Falcón state, specifically in the San José de Los Cayos sector of the Píritu municipality, anti-drug commissions of the PNB confronted a group of individuals on a Go Fast type fast boat. Although the suspects managed to flee, officials seized 107 bundles of suspected marijuana, with a gross weight of 3,161 kilograms, according to a press release from the Ministry of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace.
In addition, a 44-foot fiber boat, four 200-hp Yamaha engines and an LBSTAR mini telephone were recovered.
