GNB Zulia seized 108 kilos of cocaine in Venezuela's Guajira

A joint commission made up of Bolivarian national guards from the Intelligence Service of Zone Command No. 11 Zulia, Rural Commands 11-5 and the Regional Anti-Drug Unit of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), reported, on the morning of this Tuesday, February 18, the discovery of 100 drug gangs in the municipality of Guajira.

The information was released by the Bolivarian National Guard, in a message published on its account on the social network Instragram, in which it states that the procedure was carried out after intelligence, patrolling and scrutiny in the coastal area between Castilletes and the town of Cojoro, in the Poshoure sector, located on the northern border of Zulia, very close to the neighboring country Colombia.

He specifies that this area, after several days of patrolling through the wooded area, officials found 100 wrappers of presumed cocaine, with a total weight of 108 kilos.

The drug load was buried in an area surrounded by xerophilous vegetation. Two boat-type boats with two outboard engines were retained at the site. They were hidden among mangrove-like vegetation.

The case was brought to the order of the Public Prosecutor's Office. Commissions are maintained on the site to find those responsible for the shipment of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
