The governor of the state of Táchira, Feddy Bernal, reported that apart from the growth of rivers and streams in the state, there has been a movement of land masses as a result of rains.
“A total of 85 houses were demolished due to these earthworks and in total there are 240 houses counted as total loss,” he said in a telephone contact with the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro.
Bernal added that several ravines impacted the population of the Junín municipality, bordering Delicias, where 870 families live in the mountains, but were left incommunicado as a result of land displacements and flooding of bodies of water.
