Government deployed immediate attention between southern Aragua and Guárico after bridge collapse

Faced with the collapse of the bridge that connects the south of Aragua and Guárico, the Bolivarian Government, in direct coordination with the governorates of the entities, deployed an immediate assistance operation.

A commission led by the sector vice president of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez, and technical teams, moved to the site to inspect the contingency caused and coordinate response efforts, with priority on restoring the mobility of affected communities and the strategic move to the east of the country.

During the first actions carried out on the ground, heavy machinery was activated with the objective of temporarily enabling a passage for motorcycles and pedestrians, while the road was being adapted for the traffic of light and cargo vehicles.

In addition, a command and relief post was installed in coordination between institutions and health personnel, with the objective of providing assistance to people with reduced mobility or special medical needs during the emergency.

To offer a structural and definitive solution in the short term, the authorities arranged for the transfer and installation of a war bridge.
