The Government of Aragua began the comprehensive recovery of Local Highway 06, on the stretch that connects Maracay with Choroní, one of the state's main tourist destinations, whose plan involves placing three thousand tons of asphalt at Kilometer 01, as part of a strategy to improve regional connectivity and strengthen the coastal tourist axis.

The execution of the works takes place through the Aragüeñdad Plan, promoted through the Government of the entity. In addition to the intervention on the road to Choroní, it was reported that similar works are being developed in Ocumare de la Costa de Oro.

In this regard, Governor Joana Sánchez, together with the mayor of Maracay, Rafael Morales, led the official announcement of the work, accompanied by representatives of Vías de Aragua, the Maracay Asphaltadora and state councilors.

The project seeks to optimize traffic to Choroní, which will benefit both residents and visitors, and responds to requests made by organized communities.

The allocation of resources was also effective to continue the construction of the terminal in the east and west, an infrastructure that will facilitate the mobilization of tourist service providers to the Aragüeña coasts.

The authorities emphasized that this rehabilitation is part of the lines of action promoted by the National Executive, aimed at territorial development and the strengthening of the local economy.

The road adaptation is expected to be completed in the coming days, with improvements to viewpoints and tourist stopping points.

Mayor Morales emphasized the relevance of this investment for the Choroní parish, noting that roads are key to the tourist and commercial flow in the area.

He thanked the institutional support received and assures that the work will have a direct impact on the quality of life of the inhabitants and on the experience of those who visit the Aragüeño coast.
