Government of China donated more than 500 musical instruments to the National Orchestra System

This Tuesday, November 25, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, accompanied the provision of 591 musical instruments by the honorable Embassy of the People's Republic of China to the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela.

The event was held at the facilities of the Planning School, where the Regional Academic Center “La Rinconada” of El Sistema operates, where Rodríguez, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, thanked Ambassador Lan Hu, diplomatic officials and the Government of China for this valuable donation.

In this regard, he stressed that these “musical instruments that arrive today at the Orchestra System, that come to your teachers to continue with a profound teaching of music and turn you into what you already are, the true ambassadors of Venezuela who go around the world with their instruments, with their music, but above all carrying the dignity of the Venezuelan people.”

For his part, the ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Venezuela, Lan Hu, said that the Chinese Embassy in Venezuela expresses its deep admiration for the achievements of the Venezuelan Orchestra System and reiterated its willingness to support its development.

He also indicated that the donation of 591 musical instruments marks a new beginning for greater cooperation with the System, and expressed his hope that this gesture will help to promote and deepen cooperation between both nations, strengthening cultural and friendship ties.
