Within the framework of the National Plan for Vaccination against Foot-and-Mouth Disease, the governor of Guiana Essequiba, Neil Villamizar, reported that the goal is to reach 10,000 copies to help Venezuela be declared free of this disease.

From Tu Meremo, Sifontes municipality, administrative capital of Esequiba Guiana, Villamizar explained that the deployment is accompanied by veterinary students and teams from the National Institute for Integral Agricultural Health (INSAI) and the Secretariat for Agroproductive Transformation.

He said that, thanks to the policies of the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, they will be able to boost domestic cattle production.

He pointed out that the application of this agro-productive policy follows a coherent plan that seeks to develop activity in the fields and also guarantee healthy consumption for the population.

“We are doing this important work for domestic production, which has a clear objective: to get Venezuela to declare itself free of foot-and-mouth disease,” said the governor.

He also emphasized that this vaccination deployment will cover the areas of San Martín de Turumbang, indigenous communities and San José de Anacoco to achieve comprehensive care throughout the entire circle.

“From Guiana Esequiba, we are committed to ensuring the development of this project and meeting the goal of 10,000 specimens, to achieve more production and large healthy herds for the people,” he said.
