Government of Táchira began road adaptation work on Troncal 5

Through the Táchira Road Institute (IVT), leveling and sectorized patching work began between the Engineering Battalion and the Torondoy sector.

According to information issued by the government through its account on the social network Instagram, the resources for this action are generated from the collection of the “General Cipriano Castro” Toll for Troncal Cinco, and are part of the continuity of comprehensive care for the section between Santo Domingo Airport and the Redoma of the ULA.

Ángel Márquez, head of the IVT, specified that traffic control will be maintained while the planned work is being carried out, allowing vehicles to pass intermittently.

The call for maximum caution - he added - this time is addressed to drivers who travel along this important stretch of the main road in the southern part of the state.

He also pointed out that the Comprehensive Road Maintenance Route contemplates the execution of 5 axes of intervention through the deployment of permanent lateral weeding actions and cleaning drains, patching and asphalting, demarcation and signage, lighting and road education.
