The governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, reinaugurated the surgical
service of the Dr. Ernesto Segundo Paolini Hospital, located in San Juan de Colón,
Ayacucho municipality.
The work carried out with the support of the National
Government and the private company reactivates three pavilions equipped with modern
equipment for performing minor surgeries and involved an investment of 700,000 dollars.
“The reactivation of these three surgical spaces is crucial, since they take pressure off the Central Hospital of San Cristóbal and immediately activates primary care in the border area with the development of minor surgeries,” Bernal said.
It is estimated that this project will benefit more than 100,000 families in the municipalities of Ayacucho, Seboruco, Lobatera, Michelena, García de Hevia, and nearby villages, and will also cover the care of patients from the states of Mérida and Zulia.
