Governments of Iran and Lebanon question UN inaction on Israel

This Friday, the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Nayib Mikati, in negotiations with the head of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araqchi, questioned the position of the Security Council of the United Nations (UN) in the face of Israel's crimes.

“We regret the inaction of the UN Security Council in the face of the dangerous adventures of the Jewish State,” Mikati said, in statements released by Al-Jazeera

The Prime Minister thanked the Islamic Republic for providing humanitarian aid to the Lebanese population.

Araqchi said that Iran “will launch a diplomatic campaign in support of Lebanon and will demand an emergency meeting of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation.”
