The governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, assured that among the advances achieved during his administration is a network of 143 outpatient clinics, five large hospitals and nine CDI.

This was announced in an interview with the Al Aire program, where he stressed that in the past the coastal entity relied on Caracas for service coverage.

“In health, the challenge will always be greater, because the demand is so great. In La Guaira, we have come a long way,” he said.

He added that thanks to the support of President Nicolás Maduro and the Minister of Popular Power for Health (MINSALUD) Magaly Gutiérrez, progress is being made through the recovery of the entire network of laboratories in hospitals in La Guaira and the imaging network related to X-rays.

“We have also built new units and services; for example, in Catia La Mar, a popular clinic was built that has state-of-the-art hemodialysis services so that patients no longer have to come to Caracas, who used to do so, but can be treated in La Guaira,” he said.

Terán also commented that in La Guaira, approximately 300 monthly births of children have been treated within the National Public Health System .
