Governor José Alejandro Terán carried out an inspection of the rehabilitation work of Paseo de Macuto.

In this sense, accompanied by the Secretary of Government, Daniel Mata, he traveled stage by stage starting from Plaza Andrés Mata to the popular main ramp, where crews are emptying concrete after a thorough waterproofing work.

“This is the ramp that connects the El Ceibo car park to the boulevard, where comprehensive transformation work is being carried out to give an entrance to this boulevard with everything that has to do with landscaping, road construction and parks,” he said.

He also explained that the first phase corresponds to the attention of the entire underground pipeline system, “which is for the guarantee of electrical services, electricity, sewage, drinking water, telecommunications that has been a joint effort with the Ministry of People's Power for Water Care and the Ministry of People's Power for Public Works,” he said.

Terán pointed out that approximately 750 tons of asphalt have been placed from José María España Avenue, at the height of the Cristal Mar Restaurant, and added that the beach kiosks and restaurants are being completely repaired and that more than 150 facades are being rehabilitated as part of the comprehensive intervention of Paseo de Macuto.

The rehabilitation of the Paseo also includes the recovery of historic monuments such as old fountains.

“There are more than 500 men and women in three work shifts who have been dedicating themselves with great effort to achieve the goal that before the end of the year we will have inaugurated this extraordinary tour and enjoy a very healthy cultural, family and leisure dynamic in these wonderful places that are full of so much history for all Guaireños and Guaireñas thanks to our President Nicolás Maduro,” he said.
