The governor of the state of Lara, Adolfo Pereira, rejected the violent acts and vandalism that occurred in the region and pointed to the right as responsible for them.

In this regard, he pointed to groups orchestrated by extremist opposition leaders as causing the events that have been taking place.

According to information published on the web portal of a well-known national newspaper, Pereira specified that these events do not represent the peaceful protests established in Venezuelan laws .

“We categorically reject the looting of commercial establishments that ruin the country's economic and social growth; and that harm the efforts and dedication of small, large businessmen and entrepreneurs,” said a press release from the Government.

It was also known that the highest authority in Larense moved to Quíbor and accompanied by the local president, Carmen Silva, from where the damage caused to the infrastructure of the Mayor's Office of the Jiménez municipality was reported, to which he added that “the perpetrators of this vandalism that attacks a jurisdiction have already been arrested; the damage was only material, of which we are We will surely recover, however, we keep all the security agencies deployed”.
