Governor of Miranda: 468 Community Militia Units Activated

During the activation of the Integral Defense Management Body (ODDI) in Miranda state, Governor Elio Serrano announced the deployment of 468 Militia Units in different territories of the entity.

“We are active in each of the territories, fulfilling the 27 tasks assigned for this deployment,” Serrano said, while emphasizing the strategic responsibility of the state of Miranda, with its 7,950 square kilometers and an estimated population of three and a half million inhabitants.

He noted that the state includes part of the capital, which implies constant attention to the public services provided in the territory. “Miranda houses the main electrical transmission substations, as well as the Carenero filling plant, where the fuel used in the state and in the capital area comes from,” he said.

He also mentioned that drinking water transmission stations are located throughout the state, requiring constant monitoring. “Miranda's communication routes feed the metropolitan area, so their operation is part of our tasks as part of the deployment of the ODDI,” he added.
