The governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, assured that the sixty-first edition of the San Sebastian International Fair 2026 (Fiss) will take place “in peace, security and citizen harmony”, after a meeting with military authorities, police and the organizing team of the so-called Giant of America.
Bernal highlighted that the central activities start with the traditional Bando de Feria, the celebration of the Kings of Capacho and the Vuelta al Táchira by Bike, a sporting event with the greatest roots in the region, local press reported.
The program includes the parade of the candidates for the crown, the election of the new sovereign, the central mass in honor of San Sebastian, patron saint of San Cristóbal, as well as commercial and livestock exhibitions, as well as an amusement park for families to enjoy.
The regional president reiterated that “healthy enjoyment must prevail in peace and harmony, always under the guidance of military and police authorities.”
