Governor of Trujillo offered a balance sheet on rainfall in the state

This Thursday, the governor of the state of Trujillo, Gerardo Márquez, reported that due to heavy rainfall several municipalities in the state have been affected. One of the most impacted is the municipality of Campo Elías, to which until now there is no land access, nor to its adjacent towns.

Márquez, during a telephone contact on Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), indicated that special attention is being provided in the town of Boconó through the Los Andes 2025 Task Force, which is deployed on different fronts of work to care for those affected.

He also stressed that since the first moment in which the damages occurred, President Nicolás Maduro and various national authorities have shown their support and support. “The National Government deployed the Andes 2025 Task Force to address this emergency due to heavy rains,” he said.

Márquez explained that the effects on the municipalities of Valera and Carvajal were only limited to landslides on the road, “however, traffic in that area is currently flowing normally and is completely controlled.”

In this context, he stressed that the Minister of Water, Carlos Mast Yustiz, and government workers paid a visit to the Treatment Plant in the city of Valera, and to the El Cumbe dam, with the objective of inspecting and evaluating the consequences of the Motatán River flood and taking the necessary measures to mitigate its effects.
