Governor Terán assured that they are deployed responding to news in the face of rains in La Guaira

The governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, reported that security and prevention officials are still deployed in the entities to deal with emergencies presented by recent rains across the country.

“We are activated! Since 1:00am, our officers from the security and prevention forces of La Guaira have been deployed to attend to the news generated by recent rains, such as the fall of a tree in Santa Ana, three collapses on the road to Naiguatá (two in Tanaguarena and one in Anare),” he said through his account on the social network Instagram.

He also indicated that a river crossing was enabled in the Quebrada Seca, Caraballeda sector and another in Cerro Grande, Naiguatá parish, with the purpose of preventing road flooding.

He noted that together with his work team, he also supervised the Camurí Grande riverbed, in Naiguatá, where a screen was recently rehabilitated as part of the approach to the program A Starfish in the area.

“So far we have reports of minor structural damage to five houses (two in La Guaira, one in Maiquetía, another in Catia La Mar and Carlos Soublette). Fortunately, no significant damage has been reported to the entity. Meanwhile, the prevention and safety device in charge of our security forces continues,” he emphasized.
