The candidate for governor of the state Nueva Esparta, Maricel Vázquez, for the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (GPPSB) exercised her right to vote from the Francisco Guadas Díaz School, located in the town of Capacho, from where she thanked the organization carried out by the National Electoral Council (CNE), which guarantees the reliability of the democratic process.

“I am happy today, when this electoral process is taking place free of all coercion, the People are coming out to exercise their constitutional right to vote for those who consider that they should hold the reins of the Bolivarian state of Nueva Esparta,” said the candidate.

Likewise, Vásquez added that “the town where I was born is full of a lot of love and hope. I take this opportunity to tell all the people of Margarita and Cubagua that today it is in their hands the decision of who will direct the reins of this beautiful State, blessed by our Virgin of the Valley.”

In addition, he urged the people of the eastern entity to maintain order and to follow in an organized manner the democratic process that is taking place throughout the country.

“The process is very fast, we don't last a minute and that's why we have a large number of voters at this time. The People are wise as our Commander Hugo Chávez said and they have come out spontaneously, there is no need for there to be a queue because the process is very fast,” he stressed.
