During the ceremony commemorating six years since the victory of the People in the Battle of the Bridges, the deputy and leader of the patriotic youth, Grecia Colmenares, highlighted the courage and strength of the Venezuelans who on February 23, 2019 came out to defend the sovereignty of Venezuela in the face of the attempted invasion carried out by Venezuelan opposition extremism with the support of the narco-government of Iván Duque in Colombia and North American imperialism.

From the Pedro María Ureña municipality of the state of Táchira, the parliamentarian argued that this victorious feat of the People marked a before and after in the evolution of the last few years of the revolutionary Government.

He remembered and honored every man and woman who, on that day, was imbued with a great love for the Fatherland to repel the plan to sow violence in the country, for which they had ordered the entry of military material disguised as “humanitarian aid”.

“The blood that runs through our veins was the one that gushed out on February 23 , 2019, the blood of Bolivar, Simon Rodriguez, Sucre, Zamora, Chávez, that blood moved and pumped every one of the hearts of Venezuelans who came out to defend the national territory,” he said.

He highlighted the leadership work of the revolutionary leader Dario Vivas, “who moved with the People on the front lines, imbuing us with his strength and raising the patriotic morale of all of us who were there.”
