Gualberto Ibarreto receives Achiles Nazoa award

The legendary Venezuelan singer-songwriter Gualberto Ibarreto received the Award from the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, during a tribute to his life career, by the , with a group of Venezuelan artists who celebrated the teacher's life, work and music with an emotional concert held in the open spaces of the San Carlos Barracks.

“I'm going to allow myself to read this little card, but very significant and special; we awarded the Achiles Nazoa Prize from the Ministry of Culture to Gualberto Ibarreto, for his 50 years of artistic activity dedicated to traditional Venezuelan music, especially that of the east of the country,” read Minister , during a break at the ceremony in honor of the teacher.

A constellation of musical glories was present at the San Carlos Barracks, to sing the most emblematic songs popularized by Gualberto. The show offered, full of traditional rhythms and dances from the east of the country, included the musicians Gerardo Valentín, Adrián Lista, Amaranta, Lilia Vera, Héctor Medina, Fabiola José and Luisana Pérez, accompanied by Ensamble de Danzas Viva Venezuela.

Likewise, the singer Cecilia Todd, the group Las Guarichas, the musician Luis Pino with his “solo four”; Iván Pérez Rossi continued with the song “Precioso Querube”, Ali Alejandro Primera with a Margarite jota in homage to the Liberator Simon Bolivar and the duo Gio and Gabo “The Perfect Melody” with the song “The Sparrow”.
