The Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) has stated that the decision of the United Nations Security Council (UN) to send a multinational force to Gaza does not meet the needs of the Palestinian population.

“It does not meet the political and humanitarian demands and rights of our Palestinian people,” he said in a statement.

The organization argued that the measure ignores political and humanitarian rights and questioned the fact that the plan provides for the disarmament of the resistance, which, it indicated, makes the mission part of the conflict.

As published by Sputnik, the resolution was approved with 13 votes in favor and two abstentions, as part of the initiatives promoted by the United States for a peace plan in the region.

The document states that the international force will coordinate actions with Israel, Egypt and a Palestinian police force, with the objective of controlling the borders and supervising the disarmament of the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) for a period of two years.
