Head of State after new deployment of territorial defense: Venezuela belongs to Venezuelans

After the deployment of the Integral Defense Management Bodies (ODDI) in Caracas and Miranda, this Wednesday the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that the Venezuelan people are “examples of dignity” in the midst of threats from the United States (USA) against the Homeland.

“Today we are an example of dignity, of courage, of a peaceful, decent, hardworking people, and we must increase all the tasks in the days that are passing and in the future, all the tasks of comprehensive preparation for defense. Increasing deployment and maximum preparation, with absolute confidence in the destiny of our country,” said the head of state.

In telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the president indicated that this Thursday the Integral Defense Zones (ZODI) will be activated “on part of the border with our sister Colombia: Táchira, Apure and Amazonas, fully activated.”

He stressed that “every Integral Defense Zone that is activated sets an example, is overcome (...) we overcome ourselves day by day in preparing for defense, preparing for active, creative and prolonged popular resistance and in permanent offensive with the initiative. Venezuela belongs to Venezuelans and Venezuelan women.”
