The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported this Thursday that the criminals who knocked down symbolic statues, after the presidential elections of last July 28, were imprisoned.

During the unveiling of a statue of Commander Hugo Chávez in the state of La Guaira, the Head of State said that “all those who knocked down the statue of the Indian Coromoto, José Gregorio Hernández, Bolívar and Chávez, are imprisoned and those who are not, like the one who led the attack against Commander Chávez (María Corina Machado), are looking for it”.

He pointed out that the Venezuelan people have already seen the face of fascism. What is the face of fascism like? It's a terrible face, it's a face of hate, as if possessed by the devil,” he said, recalling that the extreme right used the electoral campaign to arm the so-called “commandos”, which tried to generate chaos and violence after the democratic day.

The Dignitary indicated that those captured “confessed that they were captured, bought, handed them a white pill (...) and already on Sunday they had them ready because the coup was on Sunday, they were thinking of sabotaging the electricity service and leaving all of Venezuela without electricity.”
