Head of State announced works to strengthen the country's scientific independence

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, made a series of announcements this Wednesday, April 23, regarding the creation of various works aimed at maintaining and continuing to strengthen the country's independence and sovereignty, in scientific and technological matters.
In this regard, he mentioned the installation from Venezuela of the SS1-S Highway Measurement Station of the Russian CLONAS System, in order to optimize navigation services in our territory.
He also specified that “I have decided to create the Venezuelan Federation of Robotics. New in the country. With a focus on technical education and a strong social commitment”
“We will open mega-robotics centers in the states of Trujillo, Miranda and Caracas, at the university level,” he said.
Thirdly, he reported that “soon we will deliver the Biotechnology Training Center for seed production in Venezuela, in the state of Mérida. A center that will have the best technology”.
From the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC), where he led the first Anniversary of the Great Mission of Science, Innovation and Technology, “Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán”, emphasized that “it has been a year of creating a lot of awareness in an entire country, of the importance of sovereign science, of not depending on anything or anyone, not today or ever”.
He stressed that “the independence of the 21st century, I have said it and I repeat it a million times, is independence of knowledge, culture and identity, of the capacity of countries to have their own solutions”.
