Head of State announces National Congress of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland for May 29

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that on May 29, the National Congress of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland will be held throughout the country, in order to found this movement, whose base is the Circles of Grandparents.

This was reported in Simon Bolivar Park in La Carlota, where he led the launch of the Great Mission of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Homeland and the delivery of funding to the People's Power,

He pointed out that grandparents should hold their municipal and state congresses. In this regard, he specified that from May 13 to 20, “we are going to hold municipal congresses in the 335 municipalities of the country.”

He added that from May 20 to 25, the congresses of the 23 states of the country plus that of Caracas will be held.

He also reported that in the next 90 days, 24,000 Grandparent Circles will be reached nationwide in all communities.
