The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Sunday a consultation process with the People to submit the draft Constitutional Reform to the new National Assembly that will be elected this Sunday, as soon as it is installed next January.

“I have spoken with the Constitutional Reform Commission and we have agreed to prepare a process of consultation and debate that is more inclusive, more open, more dialoguing and longer, to submit the Constitutional Reform Project to the new National Assembly in January. We are not going to give it to this one, we are going to give it to the other one,” said the Head of State after exercising his right to vote, at the Simón Rodríguez Bolivarian Ecological School, located in Fuerte Tiuna, Caracas.

He also stressed that he plans to perfect the electoral system and launched a public debate to carry out a project that will also be presented to the new National Assembly, which will be renewed on election day this Sunday.
