Head of State asks for an end to aggressions and xenophobic campaigns against Venezuelans in the United States

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during a meeting of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, which brings together 434 guests from all strategic sectors of the country to reaffirm, in a unified manner, the defense of the country's sovereignty and peace, called for the cessation of campaigns from the United States, in which people lie about the Venezuelan people.

“Today in the United States where it is intended to lie every day and say that Venezuelans are something like the derivative of a criminal gang that we defeated here, the “famous” Aragua train, neither are the people of Aragua the Aragua Train, nor is Venezuela the Aragua train, Venezuela is a country of decent, hardworking, supportive, humane people, they must stop the discriminatory and xenophobic statements of comparing Venezuelan identity with criminal groups attacked and exterminated in Venezuela,” stressed the Head of State.

He also reaffirmed that Venezuelan migration is attributed to the economic war that, driven by the empire and its allies, has sought to destroy the economic, social and political body and soul of the nation.

The Head of State is accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, deputy Cilia Flores; the president of the National Assembly, Dr. Jorge Rodríguez; the first vice-president of the National Assembly, deputy Pedro Infante; and the second vice-president of the National Assembly, deputy América Pérez.

The main objective of this new body is to strengthen and consolidate the security and defense of the nation through the implementation of the 3rd Great Transformation of the Plan for the Homeland of the 7T, the Great Transformations, to protect the unity and territorial integrity of the country.
