Head of State awards National Journalism Award 2025 to TELESUR

The TELESUR channel received a special award from the National Journalism Award 2025 for its 20 years of professionalism at the service of peoples and as a multiplatform medium committed to truthful information, communication sovereignty and the integration of the peoples of the Global South.

Patricia Villegas, president of the channel, received recognition from the hands of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and assured that on behalf of her entire team, she reaffirms the media's commitment to the defense of the truth.

TELESUR was founded on July 24, 2005, and the pan-Latin American network celebrates 20 years in 2025 as a bastion of critical and emancipatory journalism, consolidating itself as an essential voice in the face of hegemonic discourses.
