The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, affirmed that the Bolivarian Government will continue to be deployed in the Andean region, due to the heavy rains recorded, in order to guarantee care for the population.

“We have faced the vicissitudes of the rains, which have recently occurred in the country and the passage of the different tropical waves in the national territory,” he said in the 84th edition of his program “With Maduro+”, offering an assessment of the deployment of the “Andes 2025" Task Force.

He specified that the largest deployment of agencies is in localities in the states of Mérida, Táchira, Trujillo, Zulia, Portuguesa and Barinas, where assistance is being provided to those affected by recent tropical waves. “A lot of water has fallen and one tropical wave is coming after the other,” he said.

In that regard, he mentioned the deployment of Security and Prevention Agencies and all the necessary resources to address the climate emergency affecting the country, as well as permanent communication with all the governors, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Civil Protection, mayors and the Communes are together and deployed in the territory to serve the People.

He confirmed that through the “Andes 2025" Task Force, terrestrial communication has been recovered, in perfect coordination, through the installation of war bridges to reach all isolated sectors.

“Fortunately, there were no human losses. We are now past the stage of dealing with emergencies. Now we are going to reconstruction, to recovery together with People's Power,” he stressed.

In the case of the state of Mérida, the head of state thanked the businessmen and businesswomen, “for their immediate and selfless collaboration.”
