Head of State calls for comprehensive empowerment of women to strengthen the Venezuelan family

The Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, together with hundreds of women at the Teresa Carreño Theater, assured that for the construction, stability and strength of the family, as the vital nucleus of a new society, Venezuelan women must first be protected.

In this regard, the National President, with the objective of promoting liberating thinking with tolerance and mutual respect for women; in addition to strengthening Bolivarian Feminism in Venezuela, celebrates the first anniversary of the creation of the Great Venezuela Women's Mission (GMVM).

“This great mission has seven vertices, whose purpose is to guarantee women their participation and leadership in decision-making, in addition to prioritizing all the stages of women, framed in 7 aspects related to the protection of women's health and life, education for economic empowerment, and the eradication of gender violence and leading and participatory women so that sectoral and territorial diversity is respected,” she said.

This meeting is attended by more than two thousand women, who promote and promote the great mission every day, as an articulating body of policies and social programs that have a positive impact on the lives of women in the country.

“Congratulations women! This volcanic force is a blessing of love, today on the first anniversary of the Great Venezuela Women's Mission, of this dream that is becoming reality and action,” said the Venezuelan president.

The event was also attended by the sectoral vice-president of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez; the mayor of the Bolivarian Libertador municipality, Carmen Meléndez; as well as leaders of the Bolivarian Revolution and members of Women's Movements nationwide.
